The Delaware County Times reported on September 29 that police were searching for a driver who allegedly stole a Range Rover SUV and crashed it into another car while going at least 100 mph. A Villanova student was killed by the hit-and-run driver and another student was critically injured.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that almost 11% of all vehicle accidents are hit-and-run car crashes. Each year, nearly 700,000 hit-and-run car accident cases are reported in the United States.
