Marshfield Teen Dies in Fiery Crash

This past Saturday morning an 18-year-old Marshfield man was killed in a car accident on Highland Street in Marshfield. What Happened The Boston Globe reported that the unidentified driver struck a tree along the side of the roadway around 4:30 a.m. that morning. When authorities arrived to the scene of the accident, the vehicle was on fire. Firefighters were able to put the fire out and found the driver. There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Officials have reported that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Seatbelt Safety The Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Highway Safety Division in Massachusetts reports that the Click It or Ticket campaign has helped encourage drivers and passengers across the state to put their seatbelts on whenever they get in the car.
