Pennsylvania Residents Suffer Death, Injury in I-79 Accident

A Pennsylvania man lost his life and a woman suffered critical injuries recently when their minivan collided with another van on I-79 near Clarksburg, West Virginia, according to a recent article in the Charleston, West Virginia Gazette. The Oil City, Pennsylvania couple were driving south on I-79 when their van swerved suddenly, crossing the median and driving into the northbound lane. A pickup truck traveling north hit the van on its passenger side, pushing it into an embankment on the side of the road, according to the West Virginia State Police. State police and other rescue workers were unable to save the husband, who died at the scene. His wife was taken to the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, where she is being treated for critical injuries. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
