Three individuals riding on motorcycles were killed in two separate accidents in the New York City area, according to CBS New York.
An 18 year old riding a Suzuki motorcycle was killed in lower Manhattan around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 22. His passenger was also killed. Only 22 minutes later, a 36 year old motorcycle rider in Queens was killed when he hit a guard rail and then struck another motorcycle. The other motorcycle driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
There is no denying that motorcycles are dangerous. The fatality rate for motorcyclists is much higher than for automobile drivers or passengers. In order to decrease your chances of having a serious accident on a motorcycle, follow these safety tips:
