Sheila McCrea was recently sentenced to 6 years in prison after she crashed her car on the Atlantic City Expressway on July 19, 2009. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, her blood-alcohol level was 0.201 % when she swerved into a guardrail, killing her daughter’s friend and injuring her daughter and two nieces.

Woman Dies in Fatal Philadelphia Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident
On October 26, 26-year-old Veronica Santiago was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Fifth and York Streets in Philadelphia. According to Philly.com, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:30 p.m. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene of the Pennsylvania pedestrian accident. Ms. Santiago suffered severe head trauma and died hours later.

10 Killed in Holiday Weekend Crashes in Pennsylvania
According to Pennsylvania State Police, 10 people were killed and 361 were injured in 712 crashes investigated by troopers across PA over the four-day Fourth of July travel period. The Patriot-News, reported that 72 of the crashes were alcohol-related, including three of the fatal crashes. Over the four days, troopers arrested 339 persons for driving under the influence.
