Our Winning Website: Butler Prather LLP
Butler Prather LLP is a legendary law firm in Georgia with multiple record-setting personal injury and class action victories under its belt. Our design team felt compelled to make sure the cover matches the book.
We created a classy look with predominantly navy blue, a prosperous Persian green used for buttons and smaller elements, and sprinkled in gold elements to highlight the firm’s successes.
With such a successful firm, one of our primary goals was to strike a balance between showcasing their work in a sophisticated and refined manner while still prioritizing conversion. To achieve this, we focused on creating an effective visual strategy that would guide the user’s attention in a clear hierarchy—leading them from what we want them to focus on first to what we want them to engage with next, and so on.
In addition to enhancing the user experience (UX), we also kept search engine optimization (SEO) at the forefront of our strategy. It was essential to ensure that the website looked impressive while also positioning it to rank effectively on search engine results pages (SERPs).
When it came to photography, we directed the shoot to create multiple portraits for each attorney and staff member to showcase their personalities. We chose to use dramatic lighting on the subject with a navy blue backdrop to communicate trust, stability, and sophistication.
The big challenge was the group shots. Large firms often expand and hire new people, so, like in any workplace, turnover exists. The solution was to take each person’s pictures on a green screen in multiple positions (e.g., standing while facing in different directions or sitting in a chair or stool) so we could seamlessly edit them together at any given time. These shots are somewhat creatively limited because the camera and lights always have to be in the same position, but the results were fantastic, as you can see in the hero image here.
